| All humans have asked this question the moment they attained sentience. Now they will learn the hard way - They will never know. |
| My name is Kitty Mia Rodriguez. I am 14 and-a-half years old. I live in Seattle, Washington State, and the urban environment has gotten to my head. I hope to move away towards the southern end of Washington in hopes of getting a more open environment around me. I already make regular trips to Vancouver in southern Washington, west of the Cascade Mountains, and have made friends with Kevin, aka Rokey13. I have never left the United States for any international vacation of any sort, and I hope to change that some day. My hopes are that I will be able to goto every continent on the planet before I die. I look forward to seeing Antarctica, as well. My belief of extra-terrestrials is strictly based on logic. Although I do not assume there is life on other worlds, I do assume that it is highly unlikely that out of countless worlds, we are alone. As for intelligence on other worlds, I cannot say. Just because there are other species off of Earth does not mean that it is above or equal to us in intelligence. Who knows? Maybe we will be the ones who go out of their way to investigate a new world. I think that too many people believe that we will be invaded by a superior race. I think that it is more likely that the first aliens we find will still be microbial. Mars is showing signs of that, after all. (Methane gas has only recently begun to erupt from the ground on Mars. Methane gas comes in two main forms. One, through gas exchange, which means that there is life. Two, that geological events are creating methane gas, which means that Mars is on the verge of re-activating its core. This could mean that Mars will soon become more liveable than it is now.) I have absolutely no belief in any form of paranormal activity caused by 'ghosts'. In my opinion, it is all in the head of those who experience it. Electricly-charged environments cause feelings of dread; Light reflections and shadows cause 'shades'; Photoshop makes pictures of 'ghosts'; Flashlights reflecting off of some surface in the room make 'spirit balls'; Hallucinations, sleep paralysis syndrome, and the expectation to see a 'ghost' cause people to see things, hear things, and feel things. I am neutral when it comes to religion. I have no belief in a god or lack thereof. I remain on the perspective that science has more proof than religion. If it can be scientifically proven that some god exists, then I am willing to take that belief; But as long as the only proof is a book that claims to be the truth, it will take a lot more to persuade me. |
